Miles Flight Search & Discovery

Find and discover the best ways to fly with miles

Written by Max

1. What is Miles Flight Search & Discovery?

Miles Flight Search & Discovery is the easiest way to find flights you can book with miles.

It has two parts:

  • Search — search any route and date to compare the best ways to redeem miles across 16+ frequent flyer programs.

  • Explore — a curated feed of great-value miles deals from Singapore, refreshed regularly. Browse by destination, month, or how many miles you have.

Both work across 16+ airline loyalty programs covering 70+ airlines.

2. What's the difference between Explore and Search?

Use Search when you know your route and dates — it checks real-time availability across all supported programs and shows you the cheapest way to redeem.

Use Explore when you don't know where you want to go yet — it surfaces high-value deals so you can find inspiration.

You can tap any flight in Explore to jump into the full details view, same as in Search.

3. What does it mean to book a flight with miles?

Booking a flight with miles means using miles or points from a frequent flyer program to redeem instead of paying cash for the ticket.

Different programs often charge different amounts of miles for the same flight — which is why comparing matters.

4. Which airlines and programs are supported?

At launch, we support 16+ different programs which allow you to book flights from 70+ different airlines. We support a growing list of frequent flyer programs, including many that you can transfer Max Miles to.

We're continuously expanding coverage to include more airlines and partners.

5. Are the results 100% accurate?

We aim to show real flight availability based on data from each frequent flyer program. Two things to keep in mind:

  • For Search: results reflect live availability at the time of search, but seats and pricing can change quickly.

  • For Explore deals: the feed is refreshed every 1–2 days. Availability may have changed since the deal was last verified — always check directly on the airline's site before transferring your miles.

HeyMax doesn't guarantee availability or pricing and isn't liable for changes, discrepancies, or booking outcomes on airline or loyalty program websites.

6. Why does KrisFlyer or EVA Air show "Estimated" availability?

We don't currently have access to live seat availability for KrisFlyer and EVA Air. To show you these options, we may infer availability based on what we see from other Star Alliance partner programs on the same flight. The prices shown are derived from the airlines' published award charts and are accurate as long as seats are available. When availability is inferred rather than confirmed, we label it "Estimated." We recommend clicking "Check availability" to verify seats directly on the airline's site before transferring your miles.

7. How do you choose which deals to show in Explore?

Two things matter most: value (how many miles you spend vs. how much the cash flight would cost) and convenience (direct flights and short layovers are prioritised).

We sample widely across destinations, airlines, and months so the feed stays varied, and we mix things up between sessions so you discover something new each time you open it.

8. Why are Explore deals only from Singapore right now?

Explore is launching with Singapore departures because that's where most of our users fly from. We're expanding to more origins soon.

If you want to find miles flights from another city in the meantime, you can already do that in Search — just enter your origin and destination.

9. Why are deals only Business and First class?

We're starting with Business and First because that's where miles deliver the most value compared to paying cash.

We plan to expand to Economy in the future for routes where the value makes sense.

10. Why do I see different deals each time I open Explore?

We intentionally shuffle the feed occasionally so you discover new destinations and airlines, instead of seeing the same handful of deals repeatedly.

Within a session, the feed stays consistent — so you won't lose track of a deal you just saw.

11. Can I filter by destination, month, or miles budget?

Yes. Tap any filter at the top of the feed:

  • Destination — show deals to a specific city

  • Month — show deals departing in a chosen month

  • Miles budget — show deals under 30k, 50k, or 100k miles

Tap "See all" to open the full list view, where you can combine filters. If a combination returns very few results, we'll show similar deals with one filter relaxed.

12. I tapped a deal but the seat wasn't available — what happened?

Award flight availability changes by the minute. Airlines can release or pull seats at any time, and someone else may have just booked the deal.

The deals in Explore are refreshed every 1–2 days, so a small share will sell out between refreshes. Always check live availability on the airline's site (we link you there) before transferring your miles.

13. How do you determine the "best" option in Search?

In Search, we compare:

  • Miles required

  • Taxes and fees

  • Duration of the journey

Results are ranked to help you quickly see which program gives you the most value for your miles.

(In Explore, ranking works differently — see "How do you choose which deals to show in Explore?")

14. Why can I only search one date at a time?

Currently, searches are performed for specific travel dates.

We're working on adding flexible date range search to make planning easier.

15. Why does the search take some time?

We check real flight availability across multiple frequent flyer programs.

This takes longer than searching a single airline website — but ensures you get comprehensive results.

16. Why don't I see flights available for my date?

Flights available for miles are controlled by airlines and may not yet be released — especially far in advance.

If you don't see results, try:

  • Alternative dates

  • Nearby airports

  • Checking again later

Availability changes frequently.

17. I usually just check one airline. Why should I use this?

The same flight can cost different amounts of miles depending on the program you use.

By comparing across programs, you may find:

  • Lower mileage prices

  • Better cabin options

  • More availability

It's a quick way to make sure you're not overpaying in miles.

18. Can I book directly through HeyMax?

Not yet. Today, Miles Flight Search & Discovery helps you find the best way to redeem your miles and tells you how to transfer miles into the desired program.

You'll complete the booking directly with the airline or loyalty program after transferring your miles (if needed).

19. Can I use Max Miles for these flights?

Yes — if the frequent flyer program supports transfers from Max Miles.

We'll show you which program to use and guide you through the transfer process.

20. What's coming next?

We're continuously improving Miles Flight Search & Discovery. On the roadmap:

  • Flexible date search

  • Expanded program coverage — more airlines, more transfer partners

  • Smarter personalisation based on your miles balance

  • Booking flights directly in HeyMax using Max Miles
