Chocolate Finance x HeyMax Account Linking

How to link and unlink your Chocolate Finance and HeyMax accounts, view Max Miles in the Chocolate Finance app, and full Account Linking Terms and Conditions.

This feature is available to Singapore users who hold both an active Chocolate Finance account and an active HeyMax account under the same email address.

Account linking connects your Chocolate Finance and HeyMax accounts so you can view and manage Max Miles activity inside the Chocolate Finance app. Linking is optional, can be undone anytime, and is separate from card linking.


General

What is account linking?

Account linking connects your Chocolate Finance account with your HeyMax account so your Max Miles activity shows inside the Chocolate Finance app. It also allows Chocolate Finance to issue you Max Miles other than Chocolate Card Miles.

Who can link?

You can link if you have an active Chocolate Finance account and an active HeyMax account, both registered under the same email address. This feature is available in Singapore only.

Do I have to link to use Chocolate Finance?

No. Linking is optional and is not required to hold or use your Chocolate Finance account. However, linking is required for Chocolate Finance to issue you any Max Miles other than Chocolate Card Miles, and to show your Max Miles balance in the app.

Is account linking the same as card linking?

No. Account linking and card linking are two separate processes. Card linking lets you earn Chocolate Card Miles when you spend with your Chocolate card. Account linking connects your HeyMax account so your Max Miles show in the app and so Chocolate Finance can issue Max Miles other than Chocolate Card Miles. Linking your account does not link your card, and linking your card does not link your account.


How linking works

What do I need before I can link?

You need both accounts to be active and registered under the same email address.

  • Chocolate Finance account: active.

  • HeyMax account: active.

  • Email address: identical on both accounts.

How do I link my accounts?

Start the link from inside the Chocolate Finance app. You cannot start a link from HeyMax.

  • Open the Chocolate Finance app.

  • Go to the account linking option and tap to link your HeyMax account.

  • Confirm the link. Submitting the request is your consent to link.

I am an existing customer. Do I need to link manually?

No. If you already have a Chocolate card linked, Chocolate Finance links your account on your behalf. New customers complete the linking steps above from inside the Chocolate Finance app.

When does my link take effect?

Your link takes effect immediately once you submit a valid request in the Chocolate Finance app. If the request is not valid, your accounts stay unlinked.


Seeing your Max Miles

What can I see in the app after linking?

You see a consolidated view of the Max Miles you earn within the Chocolate Finance ecosystem, shown inside the Chocolate Finance app.

Can I also see Max Miles I earned with other merchants?

Yes, if you choose to turn it on. During linking you can opt to display your Max Miles from merchants other than Chocolate Finance at a consolidated level.

  • To turn it on: select Allow in the HeyMax app, which lets HeyMax share your consolidated balance and activity back to Chocolate Finance.

  • To turn it off: revoke the approval in the HeyMax app at any time.

Are the Max Miles figures in the app official?

The figures shown in the Chocolate Finance app are for your information only. HeyMax's own records remain the authoritative source for your Max Miles balance and activity.


Delinking

How do I unlink my accounts?

Start the delink from inside the Chocolate Finance app. A delink cannot be actioned from HeyMax. Chocolate Finance will process your request and instruct HeyMax to delink within 10 business days of receiving it.

What happens to my Max Miles when I delink?

Max Miles already credited to you are not affected and stay subject to HeyMax's terms. Going forward, syncing stops and your balance no longer shows in the Chocolate Finance app.

Can I link again later?

Yes. You can re-link anytime by submitting a fresh valid link request from the Chocolate Finance app.


Troubleshooting

Why did my link fail?

A link fails when the requirements are not met. Check that the email addresses on both accounts match exactly, and that neither account is closed, suspended, or inactive.

I linked my account but I am not earning Chocolate Card Miles on my spend. Why?

Account linking does not link your card. Chocolate Card Miles are earned through card linking, which is a separate process. Make sure your Chocolate card is linked separately.

What data is shared when I link?

Chocolate Finance shares with HeyMax only the personal data needed to set up and maintain the link, such as your HeyMax account number, name, and registered email address. All processing follows the Chocolate Finance Privacy Policy.

Will my data be used for anything else?

Your data may also be used to run promotions intended to help you grow your Max Miles balance, in line with the Privacy Policy. Data is not shared beyond what is needed to operate the linking feature.

My Max Miles balance looks wrong or is missing. What should I do?

The displayed figures come from HeyMax and may occasionally be delayed or unavailable, including during maintenance. Treat HeyMax's own records as the source of truth for your balance and activity.

Who is responsible for my HeyMax account?

You are solely responsible for keeping your HeyMax account valid and active and for following HeyMax's own terms. Chocolate Finance is not responsible for HeyMax's acts or omissions, including any suspension, expiry, forfeiture, or devaluation of Max Miles by HeyMax.


Terms and Conditions

About these terms

These Account Linking Terms and Conditions (the "Linking Terms") govern the linking of your Chocolate Finance account with your HeyMax account so that your Max Miles activity can be displayed within, and operated through, the Chocolate Finance app.

These Linking Terms supplement and are read together with the Chocolate Finance HeyMax Campaign Terms and Max Miles Conversion Terms (the "HeyMax Programme Terms"). Capitalised terms not defined here have the meanings given in the HeyMax Programme Terms. By linking your Chocolate Finance account with your HeyMax account, you agree to these Linking Terms.

1. Definitions

1.1 "Manager" or "Chocolate Finance" means ChocFin Pte Ltd (UEN 202347190R), of 1 George Street #10-01, Singapore 049145.

1.2 "Customer", "you" or "your" means the holder of an active Chocolate Finance account who links, or seeks to link, that account with a HeyMax Account.

1.3 "HeyMax" means Max Now Pte Ltd, the operator of the Max Miles loyalty programme.

1.4 "HeyMax Account" means the Customer's active account registered with HeyMax and linked to the same email address as the Customer's Chocolate Finance account.

1.5 "Max Miles" means the loyalty miles issued and administered by HeyMax under the Max Miles loyalty programme.

1.6 "Account Linking" or "Linking" means the connection established between the Customer's Chocolate Finance account and the Customer's HeyMax Account under these Linking Terms.

1.7 "Privacy Policy" means the Manager's privacy policy, as amended from time to time.

1.8 "Chocolate Finance account" means the Customer's account with the Manager, governed by the Chocolate Finance General Terms and Conditions, the App Terms and Conditions, and the Liquidity and Top-Up Terms and Conditions.

2. General

2.1 These Linking Terms apply to the Account Linking feature only. They do not govern the earning, crediting, conversion, expiry, or value of Max Miles, which are governed by the HeyMax Programme Terms and by HeyMax's own terms. The precedence of these Linking Terms in the event of conflict is set out in Clause 12.2.

2.2 Account Linking is optional. The Customer is not required to link in order to hold or use a Chocolate Finance account.

3. Eligibility

3.1 To be eligible to link, the Customer must: (a) hold an active Chocolate Finance account; (b) hold an active HeyMax Account; and (c) ensure that the email address registered on the Chocolate Finance account is the same as the email address registered on the HeyMax Account.

3.2 Account Linking will not succeed if the email addresses on the two accounts do not match, or if either account is closed, suspended, or otherwise inactive.

4. Initiating a Link

4.1 Account Linking can only be initiated and actioned at Chocolate Finance. The Customer initiates Linking from within the Chocolate Finance app. A link cannot be initiated from HeyMax.

4.2 To submit a valid link request, the Customer must: (a) meet the eligibility requirements in Clause 3; and (b) initiate Linking from within the Chocolate Finance app, which constitutes the Customer's consent to Linking as described in Clause 5.

4.3 A link request is "valid" only when all requirements in Clause 4.2 are met. The Manager may decline or be unable to action a request that is not valid.

4.4 Account Linking takes effect immediately upon the Customer submitting a valid link request in accordance with Clause 4.2.

4.5 If a link request is not valid, Account Linking will not take effect and the accounts remain unlinked.

5. Consent to Link

5.1 By initiating Linking from within the Chocolate Finance app, the Customer agrees to these Linking Terms. This agreement includes consent to the data sharing and uses described in Clause 7 (Data and Privacy), namely the exchange of personal data necessary to operate Account Linking, and the use of that data to run promotions intended to help the Customer grow their Max Miles balance, in each case in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

5.2 Initiating Linking is the Customer's act of consent. Without it, Account Linking does not take effect.

6. Delinking

6.1 Delinking can only be actioned from Chocolate Finance. The Customer initiates a delink request from within the Chocolate Finance app. A delink cannot be actioned from HeyMax.

6.2 Where a valid delink request is received, the Manager will process the request and issue the instruction to HeyMax to delink within 10 business days of receipt.

6.3 The effect of delinking is that: (a) Max Miles already credited to the Customer are unaffected and remain subject to HeyMax's terms; and (b) future syncing of Max Miles activity stops, and the Customer's Max Miles balance and activity will no longer be visible within the Chocolate Finance app.

6.4 The Customer may re-link at any time by submitting a fresh valid link request under Clause 4.

7. Data and Privacy

7.1 To operate Account Linking, the Customer consents to the Manager sharing with HeyMax such personal data as is necessary to effect and maintain the link (including but not limited to the Customer's HeyMax account number, name and registered email address), in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

7.2 The Manager will not share the Customer's personal data with HeyMax beyond what is necessary to operate the Account Linking feature.

7.3 Data exchanged under Account Linking is used to give the Customer a consolidated view of their Max Miles earned within the Chocolate Finance ecosystem within the Chocolate Finance app.

7.4 The Manager may also use this data to run promotions intended to help the Customer grow their Max Miles balance, in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

7.5 All processing of personal data under these Linking Terms is governed by the Privacy Policy.

7.6 HeyMax's handling of personal data shared under Account Linking is governed by a separate data-sharing and data-processing agreement between the Manager and HeyMax.

8. Cross-Merchant Miles Visibility

8.1 During Linking, the Customer can also choose to allow the display of Max Miles earned from merchants other than Chocolate Finance at a consolidated level within the Chocolate Finance app. This is in addition to Max Miles earned through Chocolate Finance.

8.2 To enable the display in Clause 8.1, the Customer will have to select "allow" in the HeyMax app, which will provide HeyMax with permission to share the Customer's consolidated Max Miles balance and activity back to the Manager, so that it can be shown in the Chocolate Finance app. This inbound data flow is governed by the Privacy Policy. The Customer may also revoke this approval in the HeyMax app at any time.

8.3 The figures displayed in the Chocolate Finance app are provided by HeyMax and are for the Customer's information. HeyMax's own records remain the authoritative source for the Customer's Max Miles balance and activity.

9. HeyMax Account Responsibility

9.1 The Customer is solely responsible for maintaining a valid and active HeyMax Account, and for compliance with HeyMax's own terms.

9.2 The Manager is not responsible for HeyMax's terms, acts, or omissions, including any suspension, expiry, forfeiture, or devaluation of Max Miles by HeyMax.

9.3 The Manager does not control HeyMax's systems and is not responsible for the accuracy, availability, or timeliness of data provided by HeyMax for display under Clause 8.

10. No Guarantee

10.1 These Linking Terms do not guarantee the earning, crediting, value, or continued availability of any Max Miles, which are governed by the HeyMax Programme Terms and HeyMax's own terms.

10.2 Account Linking and the display of Max Miles activity may be unavailable or interrupted from time to time, including during maintenance or where HeyMax's systems are unavailable.

11. Limitation of Liability

11.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Manager is not liable for any loss arising from Account Linking, including any delay in actioning a delink request, any inaccuracy or unavailability of Max Miles data displayed under Clause 8, or any act or omission of HeyMax.

11.2 Nothing in these Linking Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

12. Miscellaneous

12.1 These Linking Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore.

12.2 These Linking Terms are supplemental to the HeyMax Programme Terms. In the event of conflict in respect of Account Linking, these Linking Terms prevail to the extent of the conflict; in all other respects the HeyMax Programme Terms continue to apply.

12.3 The Manager may amend these Linking Terms by posting the updated terms on its website or by in-app notification. For material amendments, the Manager will give the Customer at least 30 days' advance notice before the amendment takes effect. A "material amendment" means a change to the scope of personal data shared under Account Linking, the Customer's right to delink, or the limitation of the Manager's liability. Non-material amendments, and any amendment required by law or by a regulator, may take effect immediately. The Customer's continued use of Account Linking after an amendment takes effect constitutes acceptance of the amended terms.
