Eligible bill payments earn 1 Max Mile per S$1, capped at 300 Max Miles per calendar month.

The cap is shared across all bill categories. 300 Max Miles is the most bill payments can earn in a calendar month. The cap resets on the 1st of the next month.

Chocolate defines eligible bill payments by merchant category code (MCC). The categories are:

Example: you pay S$300 of insurance premiums in a month and nothing else in a bill category. You earn 300 Max Miles, the monthly maximum for bill payments.

You earn Max Miles on foreign currency spending. Chocolate converts the transaction to SGD at the prevailing Visa rate with no fee markup, and your Max Miles are earned on the SGD equivalent.

HeyMax and the Chocolate app use different exchange rate providers to display foreign currency amounts, so the two can show slightly different SGD figures for the same transaction.

Yes. The Chocolate card partnership is intended for personal spending only.

HeyMax and Chocolate monitor and review transactions for activity that appears unusual, suspicious, or inconsistent with typical personal usage, including business transactions. Flagged transactions may be investigated, and any Max Miles issued from them can be clawed back. For more, see the HeyMax Terms and Conditions.

Your Max Miles show as pending as soon as a payment is charged. They are awarded once the payment settles, typically within 7 days.

Bus and MRT fares appear only after your card is charged, usually at 6 am the next day.

Max Miles credit to the HeyMax account with the same email address as your Chocolate account. If the email addresses differ, your miles will not credit.

Pending Max Miles are waiting for the payment to settle, which typically completes within 7 days of the charge.
