This applies to Trust Freedom Card customers in Singapore who have selected Miles as their rewards mode.

At a glance: in Miles mode you earn 1.3 Trust Miles per S$1 on local and foreign currency spend, with no minimum spend and no cap. Trust Miles are awarded for every S$5 you spend on a transaction. Transfer them to Max Miles at 1:1, instantly, for a S$27.25 fee per transfer.

How you earn Trust Miles

How many Trust Miles do I earn with the Trust Freedom Card?

You earn 1.3 Trust Miles per S$1 on your local and foreign currency card spend, with no minimum spend and no cap. This applies when Miles is your selected rewards mode.

Example: a single S$500 transaction earns 650 Trust Miles (500 × 1.3).

How are Trust Miles awarded?

Trust Bank awards Trust Miles in blocks of S$5, counted on each transaction separately. Each complete S$5 block earns 6.5 Trust Miles, and any amount left over on that transaction does not earn.

Example: a S$12 transaction contains two complete S$5 blocks and earns 13 Trust Miles. The remaining S$2 does not earn, and does not carry over to your next transaction.

Because blocks are counted on each transaction separately, a few larger transactions earn more than many small ones of the same total. Six separate S$4 transactions earn no Trust Miles, because no single transaction completes a S$5 block. One S$24 transaction earns 26 Trust Miles.

What other rewards modes can I choose instead of Miles?

The Trust Freedom Card offers four rewards modes. Only Miles mode earns Trust Miles that transfer to Max Miles.

  • Miles: 1.3 Trust Miles per S$1 on local and foreign eligible spend, transferable to Max Miles or KrisFlyer.

  • Stockback: 3% stockback on all eligible spend until 31 December 2026, changing to 2% on local and 0.5% on foreign eligible spend from 1 January 2027. Capped at S$500 per quarter. Once you reach S$10 of stockback, your selected fractional stock is awarded in your Invest account when the market opens.

  • Unlimited cashback: 1.5% on local eligible spend and 0.5% on foreign eligible spend, with no minimum spend and no cap.

  • Bonus cashback: up to 15% on your preferred category, capped at S$250 per quarter, plus 1% uncapped on local and 0.5% uncapped on foreign eligible spend.

Can I change my rewards mode?

Yes. You can change your rewards selection every quarter in the Trust app.

What doesn't earn Trust Miles

What spend doesn't earn Trust Miles?

These transactions don't earn Trust Miles:

  • Any cash advance

  • Transactions later cancelled, voided, refunded, or reversed, and transactions incurred but not submitted or posted to the card

  • AXS, SAM, or ATM transactions

  • Insurance premiums

  • Instant Loans and Balance Transfers

  • Monthly instalments of a split purchase transaction

  • Fees and recurring payments, such as annual card fees, service fees, interest, administrative fees, finance fees, and late payment fees

  • Amounts rolled over from a previous month's statement

  • Top-ups or payments of funds into any account

  • Tax refunds credited to the card

  • Transactions in excluded merchant categories, including utilities, rentals and cleaning services, financial institutions and securities brokers, quasi-cash, insurance, stored value card purchase or load, wire transfers, gambling, educational institutions, charitable, political and religious organisations, government payments, and certain other services

Trust Bank sets these exclusions and may update them at any time. Always check the Trust Freedom Card website for the current list.

Transferring Trust Miles to Max Miles

How do I transfer Trust Miles to Max Miles?

  1. In the Trust app, go to Rewards, then My earnings, then Freedom card, then Miles, then Redeem your miles.

  2. Enter the number of partner miles you want to redeem. The minimum conversion is 1 partner mile.

  3. If this is your first redemption, enter your HeyMax membership ID.

  4. Review the details and confirm your redemption.

Your HeyMax account must be a personal account in your name. Corporate accounts are not eligible.

What's the conversion rate?

Trust Miles transfer to Max Miles at a 1:1 rate: 1 Trust Mile equals 1 Max Mile.

Is there a minimum or maximum number of miles I can transfer?

You can transfer a minimum of 1 Max Mile, up to your available Trust Miles balance.

Is there a fee to transfer?

Yes. A conversion fee of S$27.25, inclusive of GST, applies to each miles redemption and is charged to your Freedom Card when the redemption succeeds.

How long does the transfer take?

Once you submit your redemption request, your Max Miles are credited to your HeyMax account instantly.

Can I cancel a transfer after submitting it?

No. Once submitted, a redemption request cannot be cancelled, and the Trust Miles used cannot be refunded.

Can I transfer to KrisFlyer instead?

Yes. You can transfer Trust Miles to either HeyMax or KrisFlyer.

Do I need to choose a travel rewards partner when my card is approved?

No. You choose your preferred travel rewards partner when you are ready to transfer your Trust Miles.

Do Trust Miles expire?

Yes. Trust Miles expire 3 years after you earn them.

Do Max Miles expire?

No. Max Miles do not expire, as long as your HeyMax account stays active. An active account is one you log in to at least once every 12 months.

Because Trust Miles expire 3 years after you earn them, transferring them to Max Miles is one way to keep their value beyond that.

Your balance and membership ID

How do I check how many Trust Miles I have?

Invalid entry. Please input a valid Partner Miles to redeem.

Common questions

Can I earn the welcome bonus and Miles mode rewards at the same time?

Yes. Ongoing Miles mode earning and the one-time Max Miles welcome bonus for new Trust Freedom Card customers are separate rewards.

What happens to my Trust Miles if I switch to Stockback or Cashback?

Your Trust Miles stay in your account. You can keep them or transfer them whenever you wish.

What happens to my Trust Miles if I close my Freedom Card?

Any accumulated Trust Miles are forfeited. They cannot be transferred to a third party or exchanged for cash or credit.

If you are planning to close your card, transfer your Trust Miles first.

What if I don't have a HeyMax account yet?

Install the HeyMax app from the App Store or Google Play and sign up before you transfer any Trust Miles.

Why is my Max Miles total different from what I expected?

Check that Miles was your selected rewards mode when you made the spend, and that your transfer completed successfully in the Trust app.

The most common reason for a smaller total than expected is the S$5 block rule. Blocks are counted on each transaction separately, so any amount under S$5 on a transaction, and any remainder above a complete block, does not earn.

It is also worth checking the current exclusions on the Trust Freedom Card website, as Trust Bank may update them. If the difference remains, contact HeyMax support with your transfer date and amount.
