HeyMax First

Everything you need to know about HeyMax First — the membership that gets you into Business or First Class now, without the years of waiting. Currently available to Singapore users only.

Written by Max

Book Business or First Class now, earn your miles back later. HeyMax First gives you a Miles Pool loaded instantly — draw miles to book flights, then replenish through everyday spending on HeyMax.

The Basics

1. What is HeyMax First?

HeyMax First is a membership that gives you instant access to a Miles Pool — enough miles to book a premium flight today, without waiting years to accumulate them. Every user gets a free Silver membership by default, with a 30,000 Miles Pool to tap into. Want a bigger pool? Paid tiers unlock larger pools and lower per-mile rates.

Here's how most loyalty programs work: earn for months (or years), hope the seats are still available, then redeem. HeyMax flips that. You get the miles upfront, book your dream seat, then earn the miles back through spending at HeyMax's 500+ partner merchants. Your pool refills, and you're ready for the next trip.

2. Who is HeyMax First for?

Anyone who wants to fly premium and doesn't want to wait years to get there.

New to miles? You've seen Business Class, looked at the cash price, and moved on. HeyMax First gives you the miles now, and you earn them back through everyday spending at HeyMax's 500+ partner merchants.

Already in the game? Award availability is shrinking, programmes keep devaluing, and the specific seat you want for the trip you're planning just isn't there. HeyMax First lets you tap into availability across 20+ programmes instantly — without waiting for your balance to catch up.

Either way: fly the trip first, earn your way back over time.

HeyMax First is currently available to Singapore users only.

3. Is this the same as buying miles?

No. HeyMax First is a membership, not a miles purchase. Your Miles Pool gives you upfront access so you can book a premium flight today, while you earn back through everyday spending on the platform. The access fee is fully reclaimable as you earn miles back — so if you actively use HeyMax, your trip effectively becomes free.

4. When can I join?

The waitlist opens 15 April 2026, 10am SGT. Members will start getting access in Q2 2026. Joining is free for everyone — every user gets a free Silver membership with a 30,000 Miles Pool. If you sign up early and upgrade to a paid tier (Gold, Platinum, or Reserve), you'll also lock in a Year 1 membership fee waiver on that tier.

5. How do I know I'm on the waitlist?

You'll see a confirmation screen after signing up, and receive a confirmation email shortly after. No further action is needed on your end.

Once the membership launches in Q2 2026, we'll work through the waitlist and notify you when your access is ready. If you've already joined, you're in a good position. Refer friends to move up the list.

How It Works

6. What is a Miles Pool?

Your Miles Pool is a sum of Max Miles that comes with your membership tier. Draw from it when you're ready to book by paying a refundable access fee, and replenish it through spending at HeyMax's 500+ partner merchants.

When you join HeyMax First, your Miles Pool is loaded instantly. No waiting, no grinding.

7. How do I draw miles and book a flight?

  1. Use HeyMax Flight Search — curated business and first class award seats across 20+ airline loyalty programs, to find the flight you want

  2. Draw miles from your Miles Pool in blocks of 10,000 (paying the refundable access fee per block)

  3. Transfer your miles to the airline loyalty program

  4. Book the seat directly with the airline

8. How do I earn miles back?

Through your everyday activity on HeyMax — shopping at partner merchants, buying vouchers, using linked cards, referring friends.

And as you earn miles back, you can reclaim the access fee you paid (more on that below) and refill your Miles Pool, getting you closer to your next trip.

The Fees

9. What are the membership tiers?

Tier

Miles Pool

Membership Fee/yr

Refundable Access Fee (per mile)

Silver

S$0

S$0.030/mi

Gold

S$1,999

S$0.023/mi

Membership fee for paid tiers is waived for the first year for the first 10,000 sign-ups.

10. What exactly am I paying?

There are two parts to the cost:

Annual Membership Fee: For paid tiers, there is an annual membership fee. Membership fees are non-refundable. The free Silver tier has no membership fee, ever.

Refundable Access Fee: When you draw miles from your pool in blocks of 10,000, you pay an access fee for each block at your tier's per-mile rate. This fee is fully reclaimable — as you earn miles back through HeyMax, you can reclaim the access fee in 10,000-mile increments, paid out to your PayNow account.

Example (Gold tier):
Draw 50,000 miles → pay S$1,350 access fee (50,000 × S$0.027)
Earn 10,000 miles back → reclaim S$270
Earn all 50,000 miles back → reclaim the full S$1,350

11. How do I pay the access fee and membership fee?

The access fee is paid via PayNow. When you're ready to draw miles, you'll receive a unique PayNow QR code. Payments are typically confirmed within minutes, and your miles will be available to draw once payment is received.

The membership fee is paid via card payment.

12. Is the membership fee refundable?

The free Silver tier has no membership fee, so this only applies to paid tiers (Gold, Platinum, Reserve). For paid tiers, the annual membership fee is non-refundable.

13. Is the access fee refundable?

Yes, fully, as you earn miles back. For every 10,000 miles you earn through HeyMax activity, you can reclaim the equivalent portion of your access fee. Reclaimed amounts are paid out to your PayNow account. Only miles you earn back through HeyMax activity count toward reclaiming your access fee — miles drawn from your pool do not count as earned.

There's no deadline. Reclaim eligibility persists indefinitely — even if you don't renew a paid tier or pause your HeyMax activity. Your outstanding access fees remain reclaimable for as long as you're a HeyMax user.

14. What if I don't earn back all my miles within the year?

There's no deadline. You can keep earning back at your own pace, indefinitely.

At renewal (paid tiers only):

  • Renew: Your Miles Pool carries over at the same balance. Keep earning and drawing as usual.

  • Don't renew: Miles already drawn are yours to keep. You can no longer draw additional miles from that paid tier, but you keep your free Silver access and full reclaim eligibility on any outstanding access fees — indefinitely. You can re-subscribe to a paid tier anytime in the future.

15. Can I upgrade to a higher tier?

Yes, at any time during your membership year. To upgrade, pay the difference in membership fee between your current and new tier.

A few things to know:

  • Miles already drawn carry over and remain drawn from your new, larger pool.

  • Access fee reclaim rate on your existing drawn miles stays at the rate you originally paid — upgrading doesn't change that.

  • New miles drawn after upgrading are charged at the new tier's lower rate.

  • Reclaims are processed in the order you paid — your earliest access fee is reclaimed first. For example, if you drew miles at S$0.027/mi before upgrading, then drew more at S$0.025/mi after, the S$0.027/mi tranche is reclaimed first.

16. Does the Year 1 membership fee waiver still apply if I upgrade?

Yes — if you qualify for the Year 1 membership fee waiver and you upgrade during your first year, the waiver extends to your new tier. There's no membership fee to pay until your second year, regardless of which tier you move to.

17. Can I downgrade to a lower tier?

You can request a downgrade to a lower tier at any time, but it will only take effect at your next renewal.

A few things to know about access fee reclaims when changing tiers:

  • Your reclaim rate is locked to the access fee rate you paid when you drew those miles. Changing tiers doesn't change it.

  • Reclaims are processed in the order you drew. Your earliest drawdown is returned first.

18. Can I sign up with multiple accounts?

Each person is entitled to one HeyMax First membership. This keeps the program fair for everyone.

To ensure this, we require identity verification during the sign-up process. If we detect multiple accounts linked to the same individual, we reserve the right to suspend or remove the accounts involved.

The Flights

19. What flights can I book with my miles?

Max Miles transfer to 20+ airline loyalty programs spanning all three major alliances — giving you access to nearly every major airline globally.

HeyMax Flight Search surfaces the best available Business and First Class award seats across partner programs, so you see the best options in one place instead of trawling multiple airline websites.

20. Are the flights guaranteed to be available?

Award seat availability fluctuates — this is true for all loyalty programs. HeyMax surfaces real-time availability, but specific seats can fill quickly. Once you spot a deal you want, act fast.

21. How can I share feedback or get in touch about HeyMax First?
